Peak Environmental, A Nova Group, GBC Company is supporting a remediation project in Woodbridge that razed an approximately 100 year old industrial building that fell into disrepair. Peak completed environmental due diligence, identified specific areas of concern, and characterized building materials for proper disposal pursuant to NJ Solid Waste regulations. Demolition (IEC) is complete (video- Morris Engineering) and Peak has managed building materials containing PCBs pursuant to federal regulations, and closed a 4,000 gallon heating oil underground storage tank (UST) pursuant to New Jersey UST regulations. Peak is currently delineating chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOC) in soil and groundwater and will develop and implement a cost-effective remedial alternative to manage these contaminants in accordance with NJDEP regulations. This will allow the construction to proceed, placing the property back into the local economy. Contact Eric Hoffmann at eric.hoffmann@novagroupgbc.com to discuss your project.
