Peak Environmental, A Nova Group GBC company (Peak) was retained by a heating oil company to support preparation of their industrial property possible sale and trigger of the New Jersey Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA). The property comprises approximately 5.5 acres and is improved with two multi-story building with footprints totaling 116,000 square feet built in the early 1900s. The property has an operational history of fabric bleaching and dying, and manufacture of rubber and plastic products. Peak has completed an environmental assessment using previously prepared reports and a site inspection to identify and investigate environmental areas of concern. Under LSRP oversight, Peak has delineated soil and groundwater impact, completed remedial alternative analyses for each area of concern, and estimated short and long term costs to remediate each AOC. With this information, the property owner can confidently negotiate a transaction by utilizing the best remedial alternative for the future use of the property.
