On August 23, 2019, Governor Murphy signed amendments to SRRA, which created the NJ Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program in 2009. The adoption affirms the success of the LSRP program and modifies how involved parties participate in the remediation of contaminated sites. In general, the changes modify compliance and financial requirements for responsible parties, update enforcement and oversight practices for NJDEP, change technical, administrative and code of conduct aspects for LSRPs, and expand third party communication requirements.
